Just as with ‘Romeo and Juliet’, ‘Over the Balcony’ explores the concepts of isolation, disconnection, and repression. ‘Romeo and Juliet’ took us back to Elizabethan England and the birth of capitalism. With ‘Over the Balcony’, we travel forward to 2064 where we imagine possible outcomes or logic of late capitalism and the potential impact it has on culture, society, and the individuals in it.
